Hello all,

Each ride morning before I head out from my place to the diner, I check email, the forums, and the weather. I had no new emails, I found out two folk would be joining us, very cool and the rain would stay to the north of us at least until supper time. After I suited up and got on the sled, I headed out on the roads. Here in Montgomery county the roads were dry, so I was pouring on the coals and having some fun on the way up north. Once I entered Berks county, the roads were wet but not under the trees, so I had to dial it back a bit. I got to the diner a few minutes early to see XIII and have kirchsnr pull up a minute later. Not more than 3 minutes after that, Cabanaboy pulled in with that loud SV of his. What is it with these V-twin guys, they all have loud pipes?? Just as we were about to head in Kantos Kan showed up with Royal Tiger. It was good to see the both of them again. Even though RT is still healing from his accident, his rapier wit is still intact. Pretty soon frindle, jlasure, and some others showed up, including Ron W with that sweet R1 he just got, nice! We went in to have some hot grub before shoving off to ride. JZ! soon joined us for breakfast and we all had fun laughing about the crazy adventures we've had in the last few months.

After breakfast I went out and found kpilot and aseecobra waiting for us. After razzing them for not telling me they were coming, I chatted with them while the rest of the crew came out. We said our goodbyes to RT and KK and look forward to riding with them soon. We had an abbreviated riders meeting because all those attending were regulars and knew the drill. We prayed for safety, told them the first two turns and our overall route of travel, and then headed on our way. We jumped onto I-78 east, dodged a slow moving RV, and made our way through the Lehigh Valley. We got to our exit, made it through three cool turns, and then began to hit traffic. By the time we got past all the cars or they turned off the road was almost over. We did some straight but scenic roads to get back to the twisties. Once again, we got a few corners in until we hit traffic. By now we were down near the Delaware river which was still high but not flooded. We made our next turn, crossed a covered bridge and almost hit a border collie. Thankfully, we got past the dog and guy in a van with a KTM sticker on it (dude pull over!) and we got to enjoy some twisty bits finally. After almost hitting an older motorcyclist on a cruiser who assumed the intersection was clear, we again came to some straight sections on to our next set of curvy roads. We again found these to ourselves, this was the norm with one exception. So needless to say, we were having some fun! Once we came to our 2nd curvy road before our lunch stop, we were ripping up the roads, not track speed but quick enough to have you stay focused. I cleared a off camber left hander went through tow sets of S turns and stopped at the next stop sign waiting for the group to gather up. We waited for a minute for the last three to arrive, they didn't. This is the thing you dread as a ride leader, a crash.

I returned to the off camber left turn to find two guys down, all the riders were okay. Frindle and another bike went into the ditch. The one bike was fine, the rider was almost stopped went into the ditch, and fell over. We picked his bike up and got it out of the ditch, with just some scrapes on it, and it started. Frindle's bike was another story, the engine case was cracked, so it wasn't going anywhere. JZ! went to get his truck and trailer, since he was closest. We moved all the bikes up a private stone drive to get them off the road so as to not attract the attention of Law enforcement. Thankfully, none came and JZ! was back in under an hour with his trailer and friendly Basset Hound. We then loaded up Frindle's bike and we headed to lunch. We ate at Moccia's Train Stop in Spring Mount and had a delicious lunch. Afterwards we got some fuel and parted ways since it was past 3pm and folks had made plans. The Scripture shared after lunch follows, we'll see you next Saturday for the Lansdale Bike night or next month for our October ride. Be safe.

Scripture Readings for September 2011

We continued this month with the topic addressed to those who have considered God or at one time attended church but decided it wasn't for them. These Scriptures talked about the claim of "I don't need a savior".

We start in the Gospel of John, chapter 3 verse 18 which says, There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

Again in John chapter 3, verse 36 it states, And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.

Both of these quotes state that without believing in Jesus, we are under God's judgment.

Next we go to Romans chapter 3, verse 23 which says, For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. This verse states how everyone sins, now sin is either doing something God commands us not to do or NOT doing something we should be doing. Because of our sin we fall short of God's glorious standard.

The next passage in Romans chapter 6, verse 23 state what our sin has earned us, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. That verse also stated the way out of sin and God's judgment, the gift of eternal life through Jesus.

Next we receive the warning stated by the book of Hebrews, chapter 2, verse 3: So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak? Let us turn to God and accept Jesus as our savior for our sins.

Finally, in the book of James chapter 4, verse 4, there is a strong word addressed to who are double minded, the believe in God but they want to live as the world does. This message has a word for all of us to learn from, You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

Let us all consider our relationship with the Almighty and consider our lives' direction. May God's peace be upon you all.
