Hello all,

Well, this is WAY late, so apologies here. I started an internship @ my company because I am trying to get a Bachelor's Degree and it is causing me to work an additional 30 hours per week. I will be done early November and it can't come soon enough. So, on to the ride report.

We gathered up at the Starlite with 14 riders and two that left due to insufficient gear. Breakfast was nice, especially with a chapter member who hasn't been with us for over a year. It was good to see him, who shall remain nameless for security reasons, and hopefully we can see him again soon. It was also nice to have Jim join us on the ride for the first time. We broke into two groups, lead and chase, then slabbed east for about 30 miles, almost to the New Jersey border. We then headed west and began our three county trek across Southeastern Pennsylvania. Partway through the ride I missed a turn and met up with the chase group. Thankfully no collisions occurred and we all went on our way, although the second group had three riders leave. As we continued on a blind left hand turn psyched me out and I grabbed brake went into the grass. The rider behind me, leaned and went around me. The next rider grabbed brake, as he was leaning his tire crossed a paint stripe and he low sided. He escaped unharmed due to good gear and God's protection. His motorcycle though was wrecked, a sad time. I sent the chase group that was behind us onward as we helped clean up the crash. The one positive of that crash was that the police officer that responded didn't cite the rider, as is usually the case. We waited for over an hour for someone to respond to the rider's calls home but he had no one that could come from his area to come get him. Finally, he told us to go, he would be fine. I left him my cell number and we moved on with the ride. He did text us later that his wife came and got him. We took a direct route which wasn't as twisty but got us to the lunch stop only 15 minutes behind the 2nd group. Lunch was good but we lost more riders that had to leave for home. We departed from lunch with 6 of us and had some great ice cream. After that we went our separate ways and hope to meet up in November.

Scripture Readings for September 2012

The Scripture was from a tract put out by Billy Graham's ministry, and it's called the Steps to Peace with God.

Step 1- God's Purpose: Peace and eternal life. God loves you, and He wants you to live in peace with Him and to receive eternal life. The Bible says... ...we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Romans 5:1 For God so loved the world the He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16 Since God planned for us to be at peace with Him and to have eternal life, why are so many people not enjoying this experience?

Step 2- Our Problem: Sin & Separation God gave us a will and freedom of choice. But we often choose to disobey God and go our own selfish ways. This side of our nature is called sin, and it separates us from God. The Bible says.... For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God... Romans 3:23 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your iniquities have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear Isaiah 59:2 Our sin separates us from God.

Step 3- God's remedy: The Cross Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem of separation from God. He died on the cross and rose from the grave to pay the penalty for our sin-completely bridging the gap between us and God. The Bible says... But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 I tell you the truth, whoever hears my world and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24 God has provided the only way and we must make the choice.

Step 4- Our Response: Receive Christ We can receive Jesus Christ when we believe in His message and trust in Him alone to save us. The Bible says... All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name. Acts 10:43 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name John 1:12

Once I finished sharing the Word I offered this tract to all who were at lunch. Plus I have this tract with me on CSBA rides if anyone else would want one. I also carry Bibles to give free to any who wants one. Myself and other chapter members are also available if you have questions about accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior. May God bless you all and I hope to see you next month.
