Hello all,

This May's ride started with beautifully sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. I wish it would have stayed that way. Breakfast was good with new faces coming in and old friends arriving. We had about 20 riders on this ride, so we split into two groups. Frindle led the lead group while Rktec lead the chase group. Andyr was one sweep rider while bobjan was the other, Royal Tiger was also a sweeper at one point. Bryce helped out in the lead group and I assisted in the chase group. The ride up to lunch went well, we had two ladies have minor get-offs due to gravel but nothing major. After lunch rain came but the forecast had been patchy showers, 20% chance of rain, so the majority of us continued. Once we reached Penns Peak, things didn't look so good. Near our eventual destination, Wind Gap, there was a white out of clouds and rain, so we considered going south. One rider pulled up the weather on his smart phone and it had a strong weather advisory with another band of thunderstorms and rain coming soon. Well, that's a wrap! We all made plans and headed for home. I kept thinking I'll go over this ridge and we'll be out of the rain, HA! I got soaked and was cold, probably should have had the rain gear on sooner. Oh well. From the reports I've gotten everyone got home safely, so that's a plus. Our next ride is the 2nd Saturday of June, due to the CSBA Spring Rally being on the first weekend. Ya'll take care, it was way cool to ride and hang with you. Thanks to those who helped out and for all who came. I hope to see everyone next month.

Scripture Readings for May 2011

Last month we talked about those thinking they have time and are putting off having a relationship with God. We encouraged them to consider doing it now for the Bible says that "today is the day of salvation". This month we discuss those that don't have a relationship with God because they feel that it's too late. Below are some Scriptures that address that notion:

Ezekiel 33:17-19 (New Living Translation)
17 “Your people are saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right,’ but it is they who are not doing what’s right. 18 For again I say, when righteous people turn away from their righteous behavior and turn to evil, they will die. 19 But if wicked people turn from their wickedness and do what is just and right, they will live.

John 6:37 (New Living Translation) 37 However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

Romans 10:13 (New Living Translation) 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

As we can see from the above Scriptures, if you turn to the Lord, you will live. If you come to the Lord, He will never reject you. And finally, if you call on the Lord, you will be saved. As long as you have breath you can still come to God, it's not too late. Don't wait, seek the Lord today. May God bless you all.
