Hey Folks,

Many things frustrated the riders that showed up for this ride. I took my jacket on and off over three times, until I figured out how to run the wires for the heated gloves. (It was 26 degrees this morning). Another rider couldn't get his bike to start and had to charge the battery. A different rider went back into the house numerous times to get proper cold weather gear. A different rider had a slow speed lowside just outside of his driveway. It took determination to get to this ride today, and the five riders that showed up, had it in spades. It was a good ride as well, despite having to slab 30 minutes to get over to NJ in the first place. After that it was: "Welcome to NJ, where there is a car perpetually in front of you". Honestly, we were only behind cars at the beginning and end of the ride, the middle was cool. We even rode on "Shades of Death" road and lived to tell about it. Speaking of life, the Scripture for this month is below:

Scripture Readings for November 2009

II Timothy 3:1-5

1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

The Apostle Paul was a mentor to Timothy, and he knew he would be gone soon. So, he prepped him for the evil that was to come. And he was right, not long after Paul's death, evil men took over as Caesar and the Roman Empire slowly descended to ruin. Paul's warning applies to us as well, as does his instruction. We should aspire to be with good people and godly people. We should not reject God when He brings us to Himself, for in Him is the power to make us godly. The more the world goes downhill, the better serving God looks to me. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope to see you in December.
