Race Report - May 16-17th, 2015 at NJMP - Lightning

CSBA Day at the Races May 2015 PromoThis weekend marks our second track day event in 2015, and we continue to experience the fruits of our labor unfold from new starts and beginnings to seasoned riders coming out to enjoy the day, our “Day @ the Races” venue has something for everyone. We give praise! Greetings and thanks to everyone in attendance. As always, big thanks go out to our 2015 sponsors and partners. Our hedge of protection continued to guard us as there were riders down in each group.

It seems each time we do this, we get better and better with our setup. This time because of the wind and potential rain, we experimented with using the trailer as a block and setting up the tent in front of it – that seemed to work well.

We had plenty of wind, but our camp stood still for 48 hours (yes, we arrived Friday night and stayed setup until 6pm on Sunday). For this event, we mainly had friends that were in attendance. Our “Day @ the Races” venue is family centered, so we encourage members to bring their family. Nelson and Lisa brought their girls, and Luis did too…

April CSBA Day at the Races Promo

Opening day and what a blessing to be able to continue offering our Day at the Races Venue - Praise God! Greetings and thanks to everyone in attendance, with continued appreciation and thanks to all our 2015 sponsors and partners. Our hedge of protection was surely apparent on this special weekend event.

In keeping with our ongoing theme for 2015, we continue to enjoy friends and family (both riders and spectators) in attendance for these events. We had CSBA members and family, national leadership, as well as the CSBA race team in attendance.

The lord was willing but the setup team was plagued with many challenges.
1: My primary tow vehicle engine blew – and the efforts to get a replacement engine didn’t come together in time for the race weekend.
2: Our Plan B backup vehicle was too small to carry the load of the trailer – time to go to plan C
3: One of our members, not feeling 100% himself offered to pickup the trailer and bring it down Friday night, and then pick us up Sunday to trailer us back home. Plan C it was.

Race Report - October 25-26th, 2014 at NJMP – Lightning

Once again the CSBA attended an outing with Absolute Cycle Experience, I believe this was the fifth and final time this season. The weekend weather was incredible for October, sunny and near 70° both days, a real blessing. We were disappointed that John L. did not make the weekend, being pulled away by other commitments.

I rolled in Saturday morning around 7:30, Dan R. & his friend Vincent A. were already on site and unloading. It was an exciting day for Vincent, being his first time with us and on a track. We helped each other unload and prepare for the day. Around 8 a surprise came pulling up, John D. Showed up to support us for the weekend. It was great having him there to help us through the day, provide tips for riding, assist with any bike needs, and of course have the coffee brewing. The day was a success for the most part, I improved greatly over my two day attendance, Dan & Vincent also had their bikes moving at a fast pace. Through out the day we all attended the ACE Intro or Advanced rider training. The coaches are very knowledgeable, giving us good advice through our sessions. I'm happy to report we had no injuries, but there was one high side on turn 7 at lightning with in our group, his bike suffered some minor damage.

September 27, 2014 Day @ The Races Event Report

Praise God and in his grace I am blessed, so hopefully to be a blessing to others as a humble servant…. I open this report and account of the day’s events by giving thanks to God for his presence and protection throughout the day. I feel extremely grateful to him and honored to our faithful friends that come out to give their support and make our “Day @ the Races” a blessing to others. This segment marks our fourth “Day @ the Races” track day event this year… and I’m happy to say each installment gets better and better!

Greetings and thanks are extended to everyone in attendance, with a special thanks to all our sponsors that continue to support us and make our “Day @ the Races” possible. I extend special thanks to A-Tech for getting our new Honda 1000RR Blade ready for its track day debut at this event. A standing thanks is also given to Roy from Absolute Cycle Experience for all his help and support to keep our members and friends on the track riding and safe during the event. His team does a superb job in organizing and keeping the venue safe and on schedule. We can’t say enough positive things for all his efforts. Lastly, I am extremely thankful for our CSBA family and friends who continue to support our events. Without their undying efforts for pit-preparation and tear-down, we would surely fade under all the work required. Our displays look wonderful because of all the help and support we have on track day – the quality shows, so hats off to all that come to support and help us! With that behind me, let me attempt to give the reader an account of the day’s events.

August 30, 2014 Day @ The Races Event Report

As always, I open this report and account of the days events by giving thanks to God for his presence and protection throughout the day. He always provides our needs and I feel extremely grateful to him and our faithful friends that come out to give their support and make our offering a blessing to others. This marks our third “Day @ the Races” track day event this year and in keeping with our tradition, I couldn’t be happier. A special shout out goes to “Noah Lebkicher” and his family. They have a large family group traveling by van to see him graduate from Marine boot camp training this Saturday, so we keep them in our prayers on their journey. Greetings and thanks are extended to everyone in attendance, with a special thanks to all our sponsors that continue to support us and make our “Day @ the Races” such a blessing. We pay and give special thanks to Roy from Absolute Riding Experience for all his help and support to keep our members and friends on the track riding during the event. His team does a super job in organizing and keeping the venue safe and on schedule. We can’t say enough positive things for all his efforts. We also give thanks for the wonderful fellowship with all our friends and family, with blessings of protection experienced during our "Day @ the Races" event this day – we had one (1) downed rider and while it was just a bruised experience, with a little help he was right back up and earned his spot at the “A” group table. Well done!

June 21, 2014 Day at the Races Event Report

We open by giving thanks for God for his presence and protection throughout the day. He always provides our needs and his blessings pour over us. This marks our second track day event this year and in keeping with our tradition, it was marvelous. As I sat in waiting on the highway for my road convoy and support crew at 4:45a, I was putting up the prayers for a dry clear safe day; and God provided! Greetings and thanks are extended to everyone in attendance, with a special thanks to all our sponsors that continue to support us and make our “Day @ the Races” such a blessing. Scott D from Moto-D actually stopped in, hung out with us and snapped a few pictures for his upcoming promotions. Always cool when a sponsor stops in to say hi! We also give thanks for the wonderful fellowship with all our friends and family, with blessings of protection experienced during our "Day @ the Races" event this day – we had no downed riders, which was a feat into itself since there were a few crashes on the day.
