TheXIIIth and I managed to make a showing and represented the PA Chapter of the CSBA at NJMP Lightning Track. We set forth on our maiden voyage at about 3:30a Tuesday (6/11) morning, and managed to get to the track just as they were opening at 6:30a. We braved the weather, which was forecasted for 60% thunderstorms and rain that day. Our resolve was total commitment as we both had a strong desire to visit the track and get the experience. Needless to say, we were not let down.

We setup camp, got our gear organized, did our tech inspection and were ready to go by 7:20am. Good teamwork and plenty of help from the folks at Absolute made for a very eventful day. TheXIIIth was right there after each ride to help with my stand since my bike has no kickstand, and then off to classroom time we went. We did manage to snap a few pictures to capture the moments, and I believe TheXIIIth will be posting some of the actual GoPro track footage of our qualifying laps via his YouTube Channel soon.

We heated up the tires and got rid of our chicken strips - and boy did it feel good! If you've never done a track day, do yourself a favor and get at least one in. Everyone is riding in the same direction, track is cleaned, no debris to deal with, no speed limits (baring red shirts and your ability) and best of all - great coaches and instruction to help improve your skills. TheXIIIth (Larry) and myself both joined "Absolute Racing" so if you need a sponsor to get in on a club membership for 1 day, let us know - everyone gets 1 we were told.
