Alan, Dylan and Zack suiting up

Greetings all - As always, we send up our thanks for good fellowship and blessings of protection during our "Day at the Races" event. I was very fortunate to have a subset of some our street fighters present from our BRO Team (Back Roads Only) bikers to help round out the day for fun at the track. 4 men strong and ready to rip were Alan P., Zack D., Dylan P., and Chuck K., along with present company. As you can see from the pictures - 3 were on their first track day experience wearing the red shirts, but not for long!

As it always seems with NJMP, rain was in the forecast - so this time I was prepared with a larger pop-up (12x12) to hold more people comfortably. I used the smaller one for bike staging. I arrive about 6:30a and immediately started setting up. Alan and crew arrived shortly thereafter. By 7:30a, our camp was setup and then we hurried off for tech inspection. Zach, Chuck and Dylan got their direction for their classes after the riders meeting and we were all off to our separate areas for the morning.

The morning saw a little rough start with about 4 riders going down in the intro group - then the rain came, and did it come! Luckily for us we were nice and comfy in our enclosure. Pre-planning paid off this time - we didn't miss a beat. The rain came around 11:30a, so we took an early lunch and just enjoyed some spirited chat. After much boasting, it was time to show what we had - but then we learned someone in the Expert group went down hard and spilled oil on the track - causing more delay. Coupled with the rain, it took another 45 minutes to get that cleared. The sun did finally come out, and then we ripped and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon.

Zack and Dylan got to remove their red shirts and near the end of the day Chuck was successfully moved up as well. On the last heat, Dylan wanted to explore the upper limits of his new born skills - and well, missed judged his speed coming into turn 1 and took it down into the sand pits. Luckily no noticeable damage to his bike (or himself) - just his bragging rights. The good news is no one was hurt on our watch and the Lord blessed us for another day of fun in the sun (and rain).

This marks our fourth track event this year. As we continue to build on this venue and introduce more riders to controlled track day racing, we manage to still have fun and spin it as a family type event. Our goal: to enjoy a joyful spirit and fellowship with fellow riders, while always learning and testing our limits is this passion we have for 2 wheeled movement. It's tragic when anyone goes down, especially one of our close brothers/sisters - but we applaud them for exploring their limits. We shouldn't be afraid to test our limits as that's how true growth in anything is experienced. If you've never done a track day, do yourself a favor and try to get in at least one. It will surely make you a better street rider. The pace is yours to set; grab a partner and explore.

Thanks again for everyone's support in today's ride/event. Come out and enjoy our next event which is the "Dauphin County Screamer". Hopefully we'll see you there! I'll post up more pictures as I receive them here and also on our Facebook Forum Page ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChristianSportbike/ ) and at this event's Facebook Event Page ( https://www.facebook.com/events/482867785143775/ )

See you out there - Lets Ride!
