Hello all,
For those that couldn't make it, you missed out on a good time. There were 11 people at lunch including myself @ the lunch. Vito's had great food, of course, and we had big fun talking bikes, holiday presents, heating for our homes, workplace issues, and my favorite, "Creepy Claus". We had a brief discussion of next year's schedule which looks to be fun. We will meet up next month on February 1st for pizza in a cool shop down in Philly. Hopefully the weather is nicer...

Scripture Readings for January 2014

I wanted to share a Scripture but dropped the ball on that one, it was Isaiah 11:1-5
11 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
5 Righteousness will be his belt
and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

When I read this passage I think about the greatness of God and all He does for us. As I was in prayer for this chapter the one thing I kept coming back to was greatness. Let's make this a great 2014 and give God the glory...
