Ride Report - CSBA Bux-Mont Rattlesnake Ride September 4, 2021

- The view from the morning start point – Starlite Diner -

On Saturday September 4th we had a ride. That morning started out cool with temperatures in the 50's. Most people started out with hoodies over their gear or liners in their jackets. We ate breakfast at 8am and came out to warmer temperatures and 15 riders waiting for us in the lot, ready to ride. We had our riders meeting at 9am and left at 9:10am. We saw a rider heading to the diner near the Wawa and tried to get her attention but she headed out away from us anyway. The ride went well with many old roads and some new. We had two crashes both minor with some light bike damage but no injuries and both bikes were rideable. As a reminder we wear gear on our rides, please don't show up only wearing a vest, or a hoodie, or sneakers I will send you home. The rules for the ride are on our site. Although we did see some storm damage and some washouts, most of the ride was clean. We had two detours due to road closure and we had to change our lunch stop due to storm damage. Speaking of storm damage we did see some amazing stuff due to Hurricane Ida. I wanted to thank all that came out and those that helped out others and helped with the ride. Ephesians 3:14-21:

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

We often hear of "love" in our society, but it never matches the depth and intensity of the love of God. The above Scripture states it clearly. Last month we spoke of making good choices including the one to follow God. Today I would like you to consider a new word. You have heard of recline and decline, today I would ask you to INCLINE your mind, heart and spirit to gaze into the love of Almighty God. Look to Him, pray to Him, listen for Him. God wants to have relationship with you, and He has made a way for you. The next step is yours.

Our next ride is October 2nd, the Dauphin County Screamer where we head to Central PA. I hope to see you there.
