CSBA 2016 Yamaha YZF-R1 Raffle Results

CSBA Day @ the Races 2016 Spring Raffle Promo

May 17th, 2016

The 2016 Yamaha YZF-R1 Day @ the Races Raffle is now officially closed.  It is with great regret that we must report that we didn’t meet our goal of tickets sales, and therefore based on contest rules are marking this raffle as “CANCELED”.

Our goal was to offer a bike to the winning ticket holder, plus cover the IRS tax burden.  The gaming commission and liquor control board give strict guidance as to what we can and can not do.  Since our printed tickets don’t specify a 50/50 option, we must either award the R1 or exercise our right to cancel the raffle and offer contestants a refund on their ticket purchase.  The winning prize cannot be converted to a cash prize.

To request your ticket purchase refund, please fill out this (Refund Claim Form) that will be validated against your existing ticket purchase we have on file for you.

Here’s a quick recap and summary of ticket sales and allocations:

  • The drawing was closed on April 30th, 2016
  • Audit was completed on May 16th, 2016
  • Total tickets allocated and made available for sale: 4850
  • Total tickets needed for successful raffle goal attainment: 2350
  • Total tickets sold (dealers and individuals): 479

Community Service Project Outreach March 5, 2016

March 2016 Community Service Project Participants

We give thanks in serving… which marks our 4th year in doing community outreach and service. This years community service outreach project took place at Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County (ReSTORE), located at 31 Oak Avenue, Chalfont PA 18914 - www.habitatbucks.org

This wonderful opportunity allowed us to join forces with Habitat for Humanity, an organization that is breaking the cycle of poverty by providing healthy, affordable housing to low income families. The mission statement of Habitat for Humanity is "Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope". Homes are built using volunteer labor and Habitat makes no profit on the sales. Habitat has helped more than 4 million people construct, rehabilitate or preserve more than 800,000 homes since its founding in 1976,making Habitat the largest not-for-profit builder in the world! The Restore thrift shop helps fund these construction projects, and is grateful for our help with donations intake, arranging the store, and serving customers.

“We have different gifts… if it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage… if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.” ROMANS 12:6-8 NIV

ARE YOU ALL IN and SHARING YOUR GIFTS?…

Last month we discussed Satan’s tricks and sharing your gifts... This month we focus on what it really means (and feels like) to be ALL IN...

For those of you that don’t ride we pray for you J, but for those of you that do ride – envision this with me: It’s ride day; it’s finally here. You wake up at 6am and check the weather…forecast looks good – CHECK! You validate there is no pending issues and that the rides is still a go – CHECK! Then, on to your bike – you check for leaks, check your tires, check your lines and brakes, make sure your docs are current – CHECK! Then lastly, you start to gear up (because you know CSBA Rides are serious and they/we stress full gear is required for our rides) but more importantly you plan to be fully prepared for what the day brings.

ARE YOU ALL IN and SHARING YOUR GIFTS?…

“We have different gifts… if it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage… if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.” ROMANS 12:6-8 NIV

One of Satan’s oldest tricks is to make us think we aren’t worth anything and that God can’t use us. But it simply isn’t true. From one end to the other, the Bible tells us that God loves us. If He didn’t, Christ would never have died for our sins. But he did – because God loves us. And God also wants to use us – He has equipped every one of us with gifts we need in which to serve Him.

Coopersburg Community Day Sept. 19, 2015

John with the Iron Pigs mascot The Eastern PA Chapter had their Hospitality Tent in full swing, showcasing their offerings at Coopersburg Community Day! Scott PowerSports was there, helping them with the setup and food serving in efforts to raise awareness to the CSBA Mission and R1 Raffle. Present and accounted for where the new R1 on display, along with their Day @ the Races team track bikes.

Coopersburg Community Day is presented by the Coopersburg Historical Society, but it is supported financially by businesses in the community. One reason for the continued success of this Community Day is the generosity of the sponsorships – both large corporations and small businesses who donate money, services, equipment and volunteers from their businesses. This has been a staple for the community, running 24 years to date.

There was music and entertainment, fine arts and crafts, classic car show, flea market & swap/meet, along with various activities for all ages, both young and old - plus lots of food! Big thanks go out to Brandon (Scotts PowerSports), Mike and Henry that came out to assist. We hope you all can make it for the next one - our goal will be to visit a few of these per year, so remember to mark your calendars.
